Nasser Maher, the Zamalek player, filed a report with the Cybercrime Unit regarding a Facebook page using his name, which posted provocative content targeting Al Ahly fans ahead of the Egyptian Super Cup final 🏆.
The fake page posted a photo of Maher after Zamalek reached the final by defeating Pyramids in the semifinals, captioned "Come at me," referring to Al Ahly, which sparked anger among Red Devils supporters.
On his personal Instagram account, Maher stated: "I don’t have any Facebook page or account and have nothing to do with anything this person posts. A report has been filed with the cybercrime unit, and legal actions will be taken. I hope everyone reports this page."
In another context, Al Ahly won the Egyptian Super Cup by defeating Zamalek 2-0 in the match held in the UAE 🇪🇬⚽.
Maher also expressed his disappointment over being excluded from the Egyptian national team, writing: "The situation is very frustrating for me. I believe I deserve to be included in the squad; it’s not a technical matter. All critics, analysts, and fans have spoken positively about my recent performance." He added: "What happened is a huge injustice. All the effort I made goes to waste, and my dreams are being ruined easily despite doing everything I should. It’s unfair and demoralizing."
