Egyptian football legend Farouk Gaafar spoke about the major difference in Ahmed Sayed Zizo’s performance between his Zamalek days and his current form at Al Ahly, emphasizing that Zizo remains one of the best players in Egyptian football 🇪🇬⚽.
During his appearance on the TV show “Ya Masa’ El Anwar” hosted by Medhat Shalaby on MBC Masr 2, Gaafar said:
“At Zamalek, Zizo was the team’s main star. He was responsible for free kicks, corners, and penalties, which gave him a direct influence on the team’s results.”
He added: “When Zizo’s physical form dropped, the whole team was affected because he played such a vital role in Zamalek’s system.”
Gaafar continued: “At Al Ahly, the situation is completely different. There are many star players, and each one has a specific role within the system, so the team doesn’t depend on one player like Zamalek did.”
He concluded by praising Zizo’s qualities, saying: “Zizo has excellent accuracy when it comes to crosses and aerial balls — a rare quality among Egyptian players. The same skill can be seen in Pyramids’ player Mohamed El Shibi, who I consider the best right-back in Egypt right now 🔥.”
