⚪ Ahmed El Shazly Discusses Bezerra’s Departure
Former Zamalek star Ahmed El Shazly has discussed several issues surrounding the White Castle, most notably the departure of Brazilian player Juan Bezerra, saying that his exit represents a significant sporting loss and could be difficult to replace under the club’s current circumstances.
Speaking on the “Stad El Mahwar” program with presenter Dina Selim, El Shazly said he was disappointed by Bezerra’s departure and highlighted the player’s qualities.
He said: “I am sad about Bezerra leaving Zamalek. It will be difficult to replace him, and this will affect the team’s performance.”

The former Zamalek player continued by explaining that he had hoped Bezerra’s departure would have been handled in a more professional manner, with the Brazilian potentially moving to a European league.
He said: “I wished Bezerra had left in a professional way and moved to one of the European leagues.”
His comments reflect his appreciation of Bezerra’s technical ability and his belief that the player’s next destination and manner of departure could have been different.

At the same time, El Shazly highlighted the financial side of Bezerra’s exit, saying that the transfer fee could provide Zamalek with important financial support amid the club’s current difficulties.
He explained that the money generated by the transfer could help pay outstanding player dues and temporarily ease the financial crisis, giving the administration additional room to address other commitments.
The issue comes as Zamalek continues to deal with discussions surrounding delayed player payments and the need to secure additional financial resources.

El Shazly also discussed Zamalek’s challenge in the Egyptian Premier League, saying that competing for the title has become more difficult because of the financial problems affecting the club.
