Former Zamalek and Egypt star Bashir El-Tabie believes the club is facing major difficulties this season, arguing that finishing sixth in the Egyptian Premier League could be considered a good result under the current circumstances.

Speaking on the "Number One" program presented by Mohamed Shabana, El-Tabie also criticized Zamalek's handling of several important issues and said the club's supporters had lost confidence in the board because of conflicting information and statements coming from inside the club.

Bashir El-Tabie Criticizes Zamalek Management

El-Tabie said he expected Zamalek to face a difficult season, criticizing the delay in resolving important issues related to the coaching staff and squad preparation.

He argued that the club should have finalized the coaching structure immediately after the previous season rather than waiting until shortly before the start of the new campaign.

The former Zamalek defender also said players have the right to feel concerned about their futures, particularly those who are living away from their home countries and may not know who they will be playing under.

El-Tabie Discusses Abdullah El-Said's Dispute

El-Tabie also addressed Abdullah El-Said's financial dispute, criticizing the way the player was exposed to criticism and abuse during the controversy.

He said El-Said eventually received his financial dues after being placed in a difficult position in front of the supporters.

The former Egypt international stressed that any player who is owed money has the right to pursue his financial rights.

He also reiterated that Zamalek supporters have lost confidence in the club's board because of contradictory information coming from the club.

Juan Bezera Situation and Ahmed Fathy's Readiness

Regarding Juan Bezera, El-Tabie said selling the player could generate significant financial income for Zamalek.

He added that if the player joined the club late, adjusting part of his financial dues would not necessarily be problematic depending on the relevant agreements.

On Zamalek's most prepared players, El-Tabie highlighted Ahmed Fathy, pointing to his World Cup experience and previous injury history as factors that could contribute to his readiness.

El-Tabie Compares Zamalek and Al Ahly

El-Tabie compared Zamalek with Al Ahly, pointing out that the Cairo giants have a strong bench and several players capable of contributing outside the starting lineup.

He believes Al Ahly's ability to prepare multiple players gives the team greater flexibility throughout the season and helps it deal with a demanding fixture schedule.

He also discussed the situation of some Al Ahly players, claiming that certain players had faced pressure to leave the club.

El-Tabie Comments on Al Ahly's Penalty

Bashir El-Tabie also gave his opinion on the penalty awarded to Al Ahly during their opening-round match against Eastern Company Enppi.

He considered the penalty incorrect, adding that, in his view, Al Ahly did not deserve to win the match.

Al Ahly eventually secured a dramatic victory in the opening round after coming from behind to claim three points.

Difficult Prediction for Zamalek's League Campaign

El-Tabie concluded by making a difficult prediction for Zamalek's league campaign, saying that a sixth-place finish could be considered a good result given the club's current circumstances.

He believes modern football depends heavily on financial resources and strong management, arguing that Al Ahly currently holds an advantage over Zamalek in these areas.
