Frosinone continued their strong start to the current Serie A season after defeating Como 2-0 at home on Sunday at the Benito Stirpe Stadium in the fifth round of the Italian league.
The hosts made a fast start and managed to break the deadlock before the opening 15 minutes had been completed.
🔥 Callo and Kvernadze Complete the Victory
Giacomo Calò opened the scoring for Frosinone in the 14th minute, giving the home side an early advantage.
Then, just before halftime, Giorgi Kvernadze doubled Frosinone’s lead in the 45th minute, putting the hosts in a comfortable position going into the second half.
Frosinone maintained their advantage after the break and eventually secured a 2-0 victory.
🇪🇬 Omar Fayed Named Among the Substitutes
Egyptian defender Omar Fayed was included in Frosinone’s squad for the match and remained on the substitutes’ bench without featuring.
The Egyptian defender will now look to compete for more playing opportunities in the coming Serie A fixtures.

The victory took Frosinone to 10 points, moving them into fifth place temporarily, ahead of Como only on goal difference, with Como also on 10 points in sixth place.
The result gives Frosinone another boost after a strong opening to their first five league matches.

In another fifth-round match played at the same time, Parma defeated Genoa 2-1 at home.
Romero scored Parma’s opener in the 38th minute, while Pontus Almqvist added the second in the 80th minute. Milutin Osmajic scored Genoa’s goal in the 70th minute.
The result moved Parma to four points in 15th place, while Genoa remained on one point in 19th place.
