TV presenter Khaled Ghandour criticized the offensive behavior of certain individuals toward deceased persons, whether through negative remarks or by cursing those who pray for the dead. He described this group as the worst among people.

Ghandour wrote on his Facebook account: “The worst type of human beings are those who speak badly about someone who has passed away, or those who curse anyone praying for the soul of a deceased person and say to them ‘you’ll be next.’ Imagine that these people live among us — they have neither morals, nor faith, nor respect for the dead. I seek refuge in God from the accursed devil, and may God repay these people according to their intentions.”

He delivered a heartfelt message following the passing of former Zamalek star Mohamed Sabry, saying: “We never truly feel the blessing of the people around us until they leave this world.”

To honor the late star, Zamalek Club announced that it would rename its academies tournament from the Helmi Zamora Tournament to the Mohamed Sabry Cup, celebrating his dedication and contributions to the club and paying tribute to its legendary figures.

The club emphasized that this decision recognizes Sabry’s lasting impact on Zamalek, highlighting his exemplary spirit both on and off the field.

Zamalek also invited Mohamed Sabry’s family to attend the tournament events in December and participate in the award ceremonies, honoring both the late player and his family.
