Egyptian athlete Gourey Ramadan from the national Wushu Kung Fu team succeeded in winning first place and the gold medal during the 10th World Championship for juniors and youth, held from March 25 to 31, 2026, in Tianjin, China.
Gourey Ramadan delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition, earning widespread praise and confirming her status as one of the rising stars in Wushu Kung Fu worldwide.
The championship featured strong competition with wide international participation, yet the Egyptian athlete excelled thanks to her high-level skills and full concentration during the matches.
Egypt’s team participated with 16 athletes, including the junior Sanda team of Ahmed Mohamed Murad, Yazan Ahmed Mohamed, and Yassin Nasser Mohamed, and the youth Sanda team of Saeed Mohamed Nubi, Omar Mohamed Fathi, Marwan Osama Mohamed, Fahmy Mohamed Zakaria, Bishoy Milad Sedhom, and Rehab Hassan Osman. The Taolu (forms) team included Youssef Rami, Sundus Mohamed, Ammar Hassan, Bilal Hassan, Gourey Ramadan, Nesreen Adham, and Gamal Mohamed.
The junior Sanda delegation was headed by Captain Ahmed Abdel Wahid, member of the Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu Federation, while the Taolu delegation was led by Vice President Mohamed Labib. The Sanda team coaches were Rami Kamel and Ashraf Khattab, while the Taolu coaches were Mohamed Khalaf and Hassan Khalifa.
Egypt’s strong international presence was further emphasized by Sherif Mostafa, President of the Egyptian, Arab, and African Wushu Kung Fu Federations and Vice President of the International Federation, who served as the director of the championship, highlighting Egypt’s prestigious position in the global arena.
