He emphasized the need to introduce new ideas to establish a strong season. The planning committee member explained that the plan includes appointing a sporting director and creating a special department for transfers to establish clear and stable foundations for the club, away from relying solely on names, with a strong focus on developing the youth sector comprehensively.
He pointed out that the priority in transfers will be for players in the winger positions, as only Mostafa Shalaby is currently available, in addition to searching for a new striker and talented midfielders.
He confirmed that there is a fighting spirit among the current players and that they will not seriously discuss next season until the current season ends, but preparations are underway to strengthen the team.
Regarding contract renewals, Emam said: “We are in constant contact with Abdullah El-Saeed and hope for his continued presence with the team; he is a respected player preparing to participate in the Egypt Cup final.”
About Hossam Abdel-Meguid, he added: “He has two seasons left on his contract, and we seek to renew it, but he desires to play abroad and we support him if a suitable offer arrives. The same applies to Mohamed El-Sayed, and the player’s interest is our top priority.”
Regarding transfers for the new season, Hazem Emam confirmed that Zamalek aims to sign 7 or 8 players, including 2 or 3 high-profile signings, while the rest of the deals will be suitable according to the club’s financial conditions.
