Ahmed Sherif, who recently joined Zamalek, expressed his overwhelming joy at wearing the club’s iconic white jersey, affirming that joining the team is far more than just a professional step—it’s the fulfillment of a lifelong dream he has carried since childhood.
Sherif stated: "Thank God, the dream has come true. Playing for Zamalek has been one of my goals for many years, and today I’ve become part of this great club."

The player showed great enthusiasm for joining a team filled with some of the top stars in Egyptian football, emphasizing that internal competition will be fierce but ultimately beneficial to his personal development. He noted that such an environment will offer him a genuine opportunity for growth and maturity on the pitch.

Sherif also highlighted the role of Zamalek’s sporting director, John Edward, in securing the transfer:
"John worked with us at Pharco, and his presence here was a huge support for me… God willing, we’ll succeed together at Zamalek."
Speaking of the retired legend Shikabala, Sherif revealed a dream that never came true:
"I dreamed of playing alongside him. Unfortunately, I only played against him and never got to share the same jersey… We’ll truly miss him on and off the field."

He also expressed admiration for his new teammate Abdallah El Said, calling it a great honor to play beside him:
"He’s an extremely talented player, and he still retains his special touch on the field. Being by his side will be an incredible opportunity."

Sherif mentioned his reunion with former Pharco teammate Amr Nasser, sharing his delight:
"Amr is a hardworking and disciplined player… We’re happy to be reunited once again at Zamalek."

He emphasized that his decision to join Zamalek was not based on financial offers:
"Even if there had been a higher offer, I would’ve chosen Zamalek… Loyalty and love can’t be measured in numbers."

He continued:
"Playing for Zamalek opens the door to the national team, and I’m working with all my strength to achieve that dream… I’ll strive to develop my game to reach that goal."
