Injury Rules Pyramids Star Out of Algeria Squad.. Al-Fakhouri and Hamed Hamdan Join Jordan and Palestine 🔥⚽
Pyramids administrative director Ahmed Zaher revealed the club’s latest international-break situation, with the upcoming break running from September 21 to October 6. He confirmed that Awad Al-Fakhouri and Hamed Hamdan have been called up by Jordan and Palestine respectively, while Ahmed Nader Benbouali will miss Algeria’s camp due to injury.
The international period will see several national teams play friendly matches, while Pyramids’ technical and medical staff continue monitoring their international players and working on the recovery of injured squad members.
Al-Fakhouri and Hamed Hamdan Join Jordan and Palestine
Ahmed Zaher explained that Pyramids received official notification from the Palestinian Football Association regarding the call-up of Hamed Hamdan for Palestine’s upcoming international camp.
Palestine will take part in a friendly tournament in China, with matches against New Zealand, Tajikistan and China scheduled for September 24, September 28 and October 2 respectively.
At the same time, Pyramids received notification from the Jordanian Football Association regarding the inclusion of Awad Al-Fakhouri in the Jordan national team squad for the upcoming international break.
Jordan are preparing for two friendly matches against Syria and Venezuela as part of their international schedule.
Injury Rules Ahmed Nader Benbouali Out of Algeria Camp
Meanwhile, injury has prevented Algerian striker Ahmed Nader Benbouali from joining the Algeria national team during the upcoming international window.
The Algerian Football Association had previously notified Pyramids that Benbouali had been selected for the national team camp, which is scheduled to run from September 21 until October 6.
However, the player’s injury has ruled him out after he suffered a problem during Pyramids’ league match against El Gouna.
Hamstring Injury Keeps Benbouali Out
Dr. Mostafa El-Moniri, head of Pyramids’ medical staff, explained that Ahmed Nader Benbouali suffered a hamstring tear during the match against El Gouna.
He added that the Pyramids medical team contacted the Algerian national team and informed them of the player’s injury and his need for treatment and rehabilitation, leading to the decision to excuse him from the upcoming international camp.
The Pyramids doctor confirmed that the Algerian striker is currently following a rehabilitation program designed to prepare him for a return to action, and he will continue carrying out the program during the international break.
Benbouali Targeting Return After the Break
Mostafa El-Moniri explained that the aim of the rehabilitation program is to prepare Ahmed Nader Benbouali for a return to competitive action once he has regained the required fitness level.
The club hopes the striker will be ready for Pyramids’ first match after the international break, when they face El Qanah on October 8 in the Egyptian League Cup.
Pyramids will therefore enter the international break with players representing Jordan and Palestine, while Ahmed Nader Benbouali continues his rehabilitation program as he targets a return to action with the club after the break. 🇪🇬🏆
