Iran’s national team has finalized its last warm-up match before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, confirming a closed-door friendly against Puerto Rico during its training camp in the United States.

According to team director Mehdi Mohammad Nabi, the match will be held privately to allow technical staff to assess player readiness without external pressure. Puerto Rico currently ranks 156th in the FIFA standings, making the fixture a tactical rehearsal before the global tournament kicks off.

Iran’s World Cup Group

Iran has been drawn into Group G alongside Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand, setting up a competitive path in the group stage.

Match Schedule

• vs New Zealand: June 15 in Inglewood, California.

• vs Belgium: June 21 at the same venue.

• vs Egypt: June 26 at Lumen Field in Seattle.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Meanwhile, organizers have announced ticket sales for the Qatar Football Festival 2026, scheduled from March 26 to 31, featuring several international teams including Egypt.
