Jawhar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, congratulated MP Mohamed Megahed after he was elected chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee in Egypt’s House of Representatives during the elections for the boards of the specialized committees in the second session of the third legislative term.
Megahed retained the committee’s chairmanship after winning the position by acclamation as Parliament completed the formation of its specialized committee offices for the new session.

Nabil also congratulated Tharwat Sewilem, who was elected First Deputy Chairman, Samer El-Talawy, who became Second Deputy Chairman, and Shaza Ahmed Habib, who was elected Secretary of the committee.
The minister wished the newly formed committee office success in carrying out its responsibilities during the second parliamentary session, particularly with several youth and sports-related issues expected to be discussed.

The Youth and Sports Minister also expressed his desire to continue coordination and cooperation with members of the Youth and Sports Committee, particularly on issues related to the development of the youth and sports sectors.
Nabil had previously emphasized the importance of cooperation with the committee under Mohamed Megahed, noting the ministry’s work with its members on issues affecting young people and athletes and on improving the services provided to them.

The committee begins its new parliamentary term with several issues expected to remain high on its agenda. Following his re-election, Mohamed Megahed said that supporting traditional popular clubs and national teams would be among the committee’s priorities during the second session.
