German coach Joseph Zinbauer, head coach of Algeria’s JS Kabylie, announced the official starting lineup for today’s match against Al Ahly at 6:00 PM on Saturday at Cairo International Stadium, in the first round of the CAF Champions League group stage for the 2025-26 season. ⚽

Goalkeeper: Qassem Hadid
Defense: Houssam Nichar, Ayoub Ben Chaâa, Ali Belyaïd, Ismail Mouali
Midfield: Oussama Boujemaâ, Mehdi Badda, Omar Sar
Attack: Abdelkrim Margham, Mohamed Akhrab, Abdelhak Massoudi
It’s noteworthy that Al Ahly was scheduled to face JS Kabylie in the 1981 CAF Champions League semifinals, but the assassination of the late President Anwar Sadat led Al Ahly to withdraw, allowing JS Kabylie to continue and win the title.
Historically, Al Ahly has played 28 matches against Algerian clubs in various CAF competitions, with 12 wins, 9 draws, and 7 losses, scoring 38 goals and conceding 22.
