Juventus fans outraged: Summer signings fail to make a difference in Serie A!
Despite investing around €70 million in summer signings, Juventus’ new players have underperformed, raising concerns among fans about the value of the transfers.
Juventus invested nearly €70 million in the summer transfer window, but the new arrivals have managed only one goal and two assists so far in the 2025-26 season, sparking widespread debate among fans about the effectiveness of the big-money signings. ⚽️
According to La Gazzetta, new coach Luciano Spalletti faces a major challenge in reviving the new players’ performance at Allianz Stadium, after the signings failed to justify their high price tags.
Canadian international Jonathan David scored one goal and provided one assist, while João Mário contributed the second assist. Luis Obinda has not scored in the past seven months, while David scored his first Serie A goal in August but has not found the net for 77 days.
João Mário started only three matches out of 15 and has not played a full match, while Alberto Costa, who joined from Porto in a swap deal, has provided seven assists in 15 matches this season, highlighting the disparity in the impact of the summer signings.
Obinda was the only new signing to start a match in three appearances under Spalletti, while Edon Zhegrova participated in just 4% of available minutes under Igor Tudor and 16% under Spalletti. The Italian coach, however, remains confident that the Kosovan international will regain full fitness soon.
With a large part of the season remaining, questions persist about Juventus’ ability to regain balance and achieve better results, especially with Spalletti under pressure to prove the worth of the summer signings to the club’s passionate fans.
