Kareem Ramzy Reveals: Kareem Fouad’s Agent Is at Zamalek and Contract Not Renewed Yet!
Kareem Ramzy confirms that Kareem Fouad’s contract with Al Ahly will expire at the end of the current season, and renewal talks have not started yet.
During his statements on the radio program "La’bet Wel Tania" on Mega FM, journalist Kareem Ramzy disclosed that Kareem Fouad’s contract with Al Ahly will expire at the end of the upcoming season, which officially kicks off tomorrow.
Ramzy pointed out that Al Ahly has yet to take any steps to open renewal negotiations with the player, despite the fact that Fouad is approaching his free agency period. This situation raises questions about the player’s future at the Red Castle.
Player Enters Free Agency in January
Ramzy explained that Kareem Fouad will be legally allowed to sign with any other club starting from next January. Regulations permit any player to negotiate and sign with a new club six months before their current contract expires, provided no renewal agreement is reached with their current team.
This places Al Ahly in a delicate position, especially since there has been no clear or official move from the club’s management to renew the contract or discuss the player’s future.
Agent Is Zamalek’s Sporting Director
Kareem Ramzy shed light on an important detail regarding Fouad’s agent, noting that John Edward, the current sporting director of Zamalek SC, is also Fouad’s agent. Edward played a key role in bringing the player to Al Ahly from Enppi in the past.
This connection between the player and his agent — who now holds a senior administrative position at Zamalek — may raise some questions, particularly if Al Ahly delays renewal talks.
Clarifying the Situation Without Direct Links
Ramzy emphasized that he does not currently link the player directly to Zamalek but rather aims to present the full picture to the audience to clarify all aspects of the situation.
He added:
"I am not suggesting Kareem Fouad will move to Zamalek, but I want to present the facts clearly — his contract is ending without renewal, and his agent holds an important position at Zamalek. That is all I am stating without any further interpretation."
