Sports journalist Khaled El-Ghandour expressed his strong annoyance at the criticism he received after appearing wearing a sky-blue suit at a social event. El-Ghandour affirmed that the suit was simply a personal fashion choice, and that linking its color to the Pyramids team was a ridiculous and exaggerated interpretation.
He said on his official Facebook account:
"I wear this sky-blue suit on many occasions, and thankfully many like it, but some tried to link it only to Pyramids, which makes no sense. This is the first time I noticed what some ‘Ber El-Salam’ pages said."
El-Ghandour proudly congratulates Pyramids on their historic achievement
In a gesture reflecting his high sportsmanship, Khaled El-Ghandour took to Facebook to congratulate Pyramids on winning the CAF Champions League title, praising the efforts of the players and management in raising the name of Egyptian football on the continental stage.
He wrote:
"I attended Pyramids’ celebration after winning the CAF Champions League, and sincerely congratulate them. Pyramids raised the pride of Egyptian football and kept the title in Egypt after a well-deserved win against South Africa’s Sundowns."
