Khaled El-Ghandour stated on his personal Facebook account that Zamalek Club has officially filed a complaint against Ahmed “Zizo”, the Al-Ahly player, to the Egyptian Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee due to the player’s breach of protocol during the trophy ceremony after the Egyptian Super Cup final.
The complaint highlighted that Zizo refused to shake hands with Hisham Nasr, Zamalek’s vice president and head of the white team delegation, which the club considered a violation of the standards and sportsmanship emphasized in the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations.
Zamalek relied on Article 6/6 of the regulations, which stipulates penalties for anyone who insults the federation, the committee, the organizers, officials, or game participants.
This step reflects Zamalek’s commitment to monitoring behaviors affecting protocols and mutual respect between clubs, maintaining sportsmanship and ethical standards within the game.
