The Croatian head coach of Pyramids, Krunoslav Jurcic, announced the official lineup for the match against the South African team Sundowns in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final. The match will take place this evening at 8 PM at Al-Difaa Al-Jawi Stadium, after the first leg in Pretoria ended in a 1-1 draw, increasing the intensity and excitement of the return match.
Pyramids’ starting lineup is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Ahmed El-Shennawy
Defense: Mohamed Hamdy, Mahmoud Marai, Ahmed Sami, Mohamed El-Sheiby
Midfield: Mohanad Lasheen, Walid El Karti, Blati Touré, Ahmed Atef Qatta, Ramadan Sobhi
Attack: Feston Mayele
On the bench are players: Sherif Ekramy, Ali Gabr, Karim Hafez, Mostafa Fathi, Ibrahim Adel, Marwan Hamdy, Abdelrahman Magdy, Yusuf Obama, and Ahmed Tawfiq.
In a related note, during the technical meeting before the match, the official kits for both teams were agreed upon. Pyramids will wear their primary blue and white kit, with the goalkeeper in all green. Sundowns will wear their primary yellow and blue kit, while their goalkeeper will be in full purple.
Tournament officials confirmed that if the match ends with the same draw result as the first leg (1-1), the winner will be decided directly by a penalty shootout without extra time, adding more tension and anticipation for the decisive battle over Africa’s most prestigious title.
