Therefore, I asked the management to support the team with several new signings, between 4 to 5 players, provided they meet the highest technical and physical standards. The Egyptian Football Association granted Pyramids a rest during the sixth round of the league because of its commitment to face Auckland City in the opening match of the Intercontinental Cup — a newly established tournament that attracts clubs from different continents, giving it major marketing and sporting significance.

Additionally, the eighth round was rescheduled to take place between September 28 and October 1, anticipating a possible Pyramids match against Saudi club Al-Ahli Jeddah, if Pyramids advances beyond the first stage of the international tournament, according to Taha Ezzat, head of the Competitions Committee at the Egyptian Football Association.
