Osama Hassan, former Zamalek star, sharply criticized Ahmed Hossam "Mido," a member of the club’s planning committee, targeting the team’s poor performance and disappointing results this season across various competitions. In statements to Al-Shams TV, Hassan said, “Mido is a Zamalek supporter but is not qualified to manage crises inside the club or hold any administrative position.”Regarding head coach Ayman El Ramady, he expressed support, saying, “El Ramady is a great coach and a certified international lecturer. He deserves a full opportunity with Zamalek to benefit from his experience.”
It is worth noting that Zamalek was eliminated from the Confederation Cup in the quarterfinals after losing to South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC and currently sits third in the league with 41 points. This has sparked significant frustration among fans and club management.
Zamalek’s supporters await decisive steps to restore the team’s balance and save the season after a series of disappointing results, amid calls for a complete overhaul of the club’s administrative and coaching staff.
