Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, clarified the truth about the financial support provided to Pyramids Club for participating in the CAF Champions League final, confirming that there is no financial support for the team.
In exclusive statements, the minister emphasized that the support is limited only to fan support during the second leg match to be held in Cairo. He added that he will attend the game from the stands and wishes Pyramids success in winning the title.
Sobhy also pointed out that any Egyptian team that reaches the final of an African tournament represents the Egyptian national team and deserves all the support and encouragement from fans and officials alike.
Final Match Dates
Pyramids will play the first leg as guests against South Africa’s Sundowns on Saturday, May 24, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, starting at 4:00 PM.
The second leg will be hosted in Cairo at the Air Defense Stadium on Sunday, June 1, at 8:00 PM. This is expected to be a decisive and exciting match.
