Abdallah El-Said is close to renewing his contract with Zamalek after reducing his financial demands. He praised his retired teammate Shikabala and acknowledged the difficulty of the upcoming phase without him.
Sports critic Amr El-Dardiry expressed his great admiration for Zamalek star Abdallah El-Said, praising his high technical abilities and influence on the field. He wrote on his Facebook account: "We’re truly lucky to have Abdallah El-Said, honestly," reflecting his happiness at having such an experienced player in the White Castle squad.
In the same context, media figure Ahmed Hassan revealed new developments regarding Abdallah El-Said’s future with Zamalek, noting that his agent, John Edward, successfully reached an agreement with the player to reduce his financial demands. Under the new deal, El-Said would receive 20 million EGP in the first season and 15 million in the second.
Journalist Moheb Abdelhadi also confirmed the details of the deal, praising the significant efforts made by John Edward to keep El-Said at the club. He described it as a major win for Zamalek’s management, especially given the team’s need for experienced players in the coming stage.
On another note, Abdallah El-Said appeared in a TV interview on MBC Masr 2, where he spoke highly of his now-retired teammate Mahmoud Abdel-Razek "Shikabala", describing him as one of the most skillful players he had ever played alongside:
"Shikabala is a unique talent. We all wished we had played with him earlier, and I’m grateful I finally got that chance."
He added: "Egyptian football will miss a star like him. I played with him for a year and a half and enjoyed every moment, both on and off the pitch. He’s a great figure for Zamalek fans, and I always wish him success."
Regarding his feelings after Shikabala’s retirement announcement, El-Said commented on how challenging the upcoming phase will be:
"It’s going to be tough after Shikabala’s retirement, because having someone from your generation beside you really eases the load. It’s a different story when you have to carry on alone."
As for his own future, El-Said playfully said: "For now, I’m still just sitting by the sea," suggesting that his next move hasn’t been finalized yet.
It’s worth mentioning that Shikabala, captain of Zamalek, recently announced his official retirement from football after a long and dedicated career on the pitch.
