Former Liverpool star and current Trabzonspor forward Mohamed Salah has been banned from driving in England for six months following a case involving his luxury Rolls-Royce Spectre, which was recorded by a speed camera in Cheshire in March 2026.
The incident took place on March 27, 2026, when the vehicle was recorded traveling at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
📢 The Conviction Was Not for the Speeding Offence
British reports clarified that Salah’s conviction was not for the speeding offence itself, as the original speeding charge was later withdrawn.
Instead, the Egypt captain was convicted of failing to provide information identifying who was driving the vehicle when the speed camera recorded the violation.
The case was handled under the UK’s Single Justice Procedure, with magistrates dealing with the matter in private proceedings before Salah was convicted in absentia over the failure to identify the driver.
💰 £1,044 in Fines and Court-Related Payments
The court imposed a six-month driving ban on Mohamed Salah and ordered him to pay a £660 fine.
He was also ordered to pay £120 in court costs and a further £264 victim surcharge, bringing the total amount to £1,044.

The vehicle involved was a Rolls-Royce Spectre, reportedly worth around £400,000.
The incident occurred just days after Salah announced that he would leave Liverpool, ending a nine-year spell with the English club before subsequently moving to Trabzonspor in Turkey.
