🇪🇬 Mohamed Salah Arrives at Egypt Camp
Egypt captain and star Mohamed Salah has joined the national team camp as the Pharaohs continue preparations for their upcoming fixtures during the current international break.
Sports critic Ahmed Abdel Baset confirmed via Facebook that Salah arrived at the Egypt camp and is expected to take part in the team’s evening training session as preparations continue for the upcoming matches.
Abdel Baset wrote that Mohamed Salah had arrived at the camp and would appear in training as Egypt prepares to face Angola and South Sudan.
⭐ Overseas Players Join Training
Ahmed Abdel Baset also reported that Omar Marmoush, Hamza Abdelkarim and Omar Fayed would take part in the evening training session alongside Mohamed Salah.
Their arrival provides Egypt’s coaching staff with additional options as preparations continue ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
The Pharaohs are working during the international break running from September 21 through October 6, with several matches scheduled during the period.
🔥 Egypt Set for Three Matches
Egypt will begin its schedule by facing Angola on September 25 at Cairo Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick off at 10:00 p.m. Cairo time.
The Pharaohs will then travel to Juba to face South Sudan on September 29, with the match scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Egypt will conclude its matches during the international break against South Africa on October 4 at Cairo Stadium.
📋 Hossam Hassan Announces Egypt Squad
Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan had previously announced a 24-player squad featuring 15 locally based players and nine overseas professionals.
The squad was later adjusted after Hamdy Fathy of Qatar-based Al Wakrah withdrew because of injury. Egypt team director Ibrahim Hassan subsequently called up Omar Fayed of Italian side Frosinone as his replacement.
✈️ Egypt’s Overseas-Based Players
The overseas contingent named in the squad consists of Mohamed Salah, Hamza Abdelkarim, Omar Marmoush, Ibrahim Adel, Mohamed Abdelmonem, Hossam Abdelmaguid, Haitham Hassan, Omar Fayed and Rami Rabia.
The coaching staff will now look to benefit from the presence of the overseas players during training as Egypt continues its preparations for the Angola match and the rest of its scheduled fixtures during the international break.
