Al Ahly striker Mohamed Sherif has officially announced his return to the club’s first football team, reaffirming that the Red Castle will always be his first and last choice, no matter the circumstances. He emphasized that wearing Al Ahly’s jersey is more than just a football decision—it is a deep-rooted belonging that cannot be compared to any other experience.

Sherif shared an emotional message on his official Instagram account, saying:
"All praise be to God... Al Ahly has always been my first and last choice. I never saw myself anywhere else. Today, I return to the big home with a renewed spirit, boundless ambitions, and the same passion that started this journey with love and belonging—and will continue with determination to achieve success."

In exclusive statements to Al Ahly’s official website, Sherif revealed the background behind his decision to return, noting that it was a straightforward choice. “Al Ahly is where my true journey began, where I made my name, and achieved my most important football milestones. Returning is a natural continuation of a career full of challenges.”

He added:
"Al Ahly cannot be compared to any other club. It’s a complete entity—a professional organization with all the elements of success: visionary management, a world-class coaching staff, and passionate fans who accept nothing but first place. All of this makes Al Ahly an ideal environment for any player aiming to make real history in football."

Sherif also stated that being back with the team gives him great motivation to win more titles and achieve further success. He added:
"At Al Ahly, there's no time for long celebrations. Every title is followed by the question: what's next? This is the secret to the club’s success—there’s always a new goal ahead. That’s what sets Al Ahly apart from the rest."

He emphasized that the pressure of constant matches and intense local and continental competition doesn’t wear players down—it fuels their drive to win. He stressed that any player wearing the Al Ahly shirt must be fully committed, responsible, and maintain discipline on and off the pitch.

Sherif also spoke about the fierce competition within the squad, especially in the striker position, pointing out that having multiple attacking options is a big advantage. It not only pushes players to perform better but also gives the coaching staff greater tactical flexibility—especially important with the team playing in numerous tournaments and back-to-back fixtures.

He concluded:
"Wearing the Al Ahly jersey is a great honor, but an even greater responsibility. We have fans who accept nothing less than championships, and a management team that speaks only the language of trophies. I am fully ready to give everything I have, to live up to the trust of the club and its supporters, and to continue my journey at Al Ahly with the spirit of a beginner and the ambition of a champion."
