🟣 Meanwhile, journalist Mohamed Shabana revealed on his TV program “Number One” that the renewal dispute stems from internal conflicts between player agents, rather than financial or sporting issues.
According to Shabana, a conflict erupted between Mohamed El-Sayed’s agent Ahmed Yehia, Zamalek’s sporting director John Edward, and current contracts manager Abdelrahman Ismail — who previously worked for a company involved in Zamalek’s transfer business.
💥 Shabana added that Yehia supports El-Sayed’s decision to refuse contract renewal due to ongoing agent disputes, denying rumors of any interest from Al Ahly.
He concluded: “Al Ahly’s name is only being used as a negotiation tool to increase the player’s value — there are no real talks.”
