The team won the second set 21-18 to level the match and force the encounter into a deciding set.

In the third and decisive set, Mozambique regained control of the match and appeared more organized and focused, allowing the team to dominate the decisive moments.

The women’s draw divided the 21 teams into six groups as follows:

Group D: Nigeria, Benin, Lesotho, Morocco 2.
Group E: Cape Verde, Gambia, Tunisia, Mozambique 2.
