Nasser Maher, the Zamalek playmaker, expressed his frustration after being left out of Egypt’s national team squad for the November camp, scheduled from November 10 to 18 in the UAE 🇦🇪.
Maher wrote on his Instagram account: “I’m sorry for posting this, it’s not like me, but honestly, I’m very frustrated because of the Egypt squad.” He added: “Honestly, I think I deserve to be at least included in the team, especially since this is clearly not a technical decision. Critics, analysts, journalists, and even ordinary Egyptian fans have spoken very positively about my recent performance.”
He concluded: “Frankly, what happened is a huge injustice and has nothing to do with football. All my effort goes to waste, and my dreams are slipping away easily, as if it’s normal, even though I did everything I was supposed to. It’s truly unfair, and this situation can discourage anyone.”
The Egypt national team, led by Hossam Hassan, announced a 26-player squad for the November camp, including Mohamed El-Shenawy, Ahmed El-Shenawy, Mohamed Sobhi, Mostafa Shobier, Mohamed Hany, Ahmed Fattouh, Rami Rabia, Khaled Sobhi, Hossam Abdelmaguid, Mohamed Ismail, Marwan Attia, Hamdi Fathi, Mohand Lashine, Mohamed Shahat, Mahmoud Saber, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Ibrahim Adel, Marwan Osman, Omar Marmoush, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Mahmoud Abdel Hafiz Zalaka, Mohamed Salah, Osama Faisal, Salah Mohsen, and Mostafa Mohamed ⚽.
