New Development in Youssef Belamri’s Future Amid Interest from Al Ahly and Contract Issues with Raja
Renewal talks between Raja and Youssef Belamri collapse, as strong reports link the player with a major move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
Raja Casablanca are facing growing uncertainty after their attempts to renew Youssef Belamri’s contract reached a dead end, while indications suggest the player may be edging closer to a move to Al Ahly.
Belamri’s contract expires next June, and although he was previously linked with Al Ahly, the deal never materialized… but now the situation has resurfaced with even more intensity.
According to Moroccan outlet "Al-Mountakhab," the player’s agent requested a yearly salary of $650,000, while Raja insisted on keeping the offer at $480,000, causing negotiations to break down completely.
Belamri is currently with Raja’s training camp in Saudi Arabia ahead of the second phase of the Moroccan league, but his future remains uncertain.
Reports from le360 revealed that Al Ahly submitted an attractive proposal that includes:
A signing bonus of $1 million
$500,000 paid to Raja for releasing the player
The agent is also pushing for a clause that allows Belamri to leave immediately if a European offer arrives next summer.
The coming days could bring major developments… and Belamri may soon appear in Al Ahly’s shirt if negotiations are finalized.
