Brazilian star Estêvão Willian of Palmeiras has spoken out about his team’s upcoming clash with Al Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup, praising the strength and organization of the Egyptian side and affirming Palmeiras’ determination to fight for victory.
The young player, who recently won the Man of the Match award in his team’s game against FC Porto, highlighted Al Ahly’s quick attacking players, noting that they caused significant problems for Inter Miami in the tournament’s opening match. He emphasized that such encounters are never easy, especially in major tournaments that demand high levels of focus.
Al Ahly’s match against Inter Miami ended in a goalless draw, with the Egyptian team dominating the first half and creating several dangerous chances. However, the American side’s goalkeeper made key saves, denying efforts from Emam Ashour and Wissam Abou Ali.
Emam Ashour was forced to leave the pitch in the 14th minute due to a serious injury, with Zizo coming on as his replacement. In the second half, Inter Miami gained more control but failed to capitalize on their chances, and the match ended 0–0.
