Official: Omar Al‑Saei dons Al‑Masry jersey for the new season after his move from Al Ahly.
Al Masry has signed Omar Al‑Saei from Al Ahly on loan until the end of the 2025–2026 season.
Al Masry SC, under the leadership of Chairman Kamel Abou Ali, has officially completed the signing of midfielder Omar Al‑Saei from Al Ahly on a one-season loan deal. The loan begins with the current summer transfer window and runs through the end of the 2025–2026 season. This move is part of the club’s strategic plan to strengthen the squad with young and promising talent ahead of upcoming competitions.
Omar Al‑Saei, 22, is considered one of the rising stars in Egyptian football. He came through the youth ranks at Ismaily SC, where his standout performances caught the attention of Al Ahly’s scouts. He was signed by Al Ahly during the last winter transfer window for approximately EGP 50 million. However, he didn’t get enough playing time to prove himself with the first team.
Al‑Saei is known for his versatility in midfield, capable of playing both defensive and attacking roles, giving him tactical flexibility. His abilities made him a target for several clubs, but Al Masry managed to seal the deal after successful negotiations with Al Ahly.
The official social media account of Al Masry released a special video introducing the player, filmed on one of Port Said’s beaches, in a warm and symbolic welcome. The video presented him as a key figure in the club’s new sporting project.
It is worth noting that Al‑Saei only made brief appearances for Al Ahly under former head coach Marcel Koller and did not score or assist any goals during his short stint with the Red Devils. This limited opportunity led the club to approve the loan move in hopes he gains more experience and consistent playing time.
Al Masry fans are hopeful that Al‑Saei will be a valuable addition to the midfield, especially as the technical staff emphasizes relying on young players capable of executing tactical plans with strong physical and mental performances.
