Emad Ramadan, president of the Egyptian Paralympic Volleyball Federation, expressed immense pride in Egypt’s historic World Cup victory 🇪🇬🏆, describing it as a first-of-its-kind achievement in the country’s Paralympic history, with Egypt now ranking number one globally for the first time ever.

Ramadan noted that Egypt not only won the world title but also swept three individual awards Hesham Salah El-Din was named Best Player, Mohamed El-Hanawy took Best Setter, and El-Sayed Moussa won Best Serve of the tournament.

He praised the collective effort of the entire sporting system, from players to management, stressing that his confidence in the team was well placed and that they “promised and delivered,” honoring Egypt on the international stage 🌍🇪🇬.

Ramadan congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his continuous support of Egyptian sports and thanked Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, for his constant communication with the team and motivational messages before the final match.

He also highlighted the remarkable work of Dr. Sameh Salem, head of the delegation, calling him the “engine” of the mission for his exceptional medical and administrative efforts.

Ramadan emphasized that this achievement is only the beginning of a greater goal  winning gold at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, affirming that the team’s determination will carry Egypt to even greater heights.

The team is set to arrive in Cairo on Monday at 8:30 PM, where an official and public reception will be held at Cairo International Airport to celebrate this historic milestone.

Egypt’s Paralympic sitting volleyball team claimed the World Cup title after defeating Brazil 3–1 in the final held in Indianapolis, USA. The team has now cemented its status as Egypt’s most successful collective national team, having won three Paralympic medals (2004, 2016, 2024), three World Cup medals (2006, 2010, 2023), and eight consecutive African Championships 💪🇪🇬✨.
