Jabri Veiga, the star player of Portuguese club Porto, spoke about the details of his transfer during the last summer transfer window from Saudi club Al-Ahli Jeddah. In his statements, Veiga said: "It has been nearly a year since the talks with Porto began, and during this period, I felt unprecedented confidence from the coach and management. This gave me a strong motivation to work and develop. Having unanimous belief in my abilities made me feel comfortable and stable, which I consider the most important factor in any player's success."
Financial aspect was not the main motive
Regarding the salary difference between what he earned in Saudi Arabia and what he currently receives at Porto, Veiga said: "What the club president mentioned about my salary is completely true. The salary I had in Saudi Arabia is hard to find here in Europe, but money was not the main reason for my move. I was eager to return to Europe and compete in strong tournaments, which pushed me to accept the offer. At the same time, I appreciate the significant financial effort the club made for me, and I am grateful for that."
