Pyramids FC sporting director Hany Said revealed that the club has decided to provide additional rest for the international players who participated with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup before returning to team training.

The decision comes as part of the club’s plan to maintain the players’ physical condition after their demanding international commitments.

Pyramids FC Begins Preparations Under Rolani Mokwena

Pyramids FC is currently holding daily training sessions in Cairo under new head coach Rolani Mokwena as part of preparations for the upcoming season.

The team is scheduled to hold an overseas training camp in Turkey from July 23 until August 9 ahead of the new campaign.

International Players’ Joining Dates

Hany Said explained that Jordanian international Awad Al-Fakhouri, along with returning player Mahmoud Saber, will join the team’s training sessions at the start of the Turkey camp on July 23.

He also confirmed that Mustafa Ziko, Mohannad Lashin, and Karim Hafez will join the Pyramids delegation in Turkey on July 29.

The trio will remain with the team until the end of the camp before returning to Cairo on August 9.

Pyramids FC Plans Strong Preseason Preparation

Earlier, Hany Said confirmed that the team would hold an external training camp in Turkey as part of preparations for the new season.

The club’s board and CEO Mamdouh Eid are working to provide all necessary requirements to ensure a strong preparation program, especially with the team’s upcoming domestic and continental commitments.
