La Liga announces new dates for Real Madrid and Barcelona’s Round 19 matches ahead of their participation in the Spanish Super Cup in January.
The Spanish La Liga has rescheduled two matches in Round 19 due to the upcoming Spanish Super Cup, which will take place from January 7 to 11 ⚽🇪🇸.
The updated fixtures are:
Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid on December 2.
Real Madrid vs Athletic Bilbao on December 3.
This adjustment is due to the participation of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and Athletic Bilbao in the Super Cup. Barcelona will face Athletic Bilbao in one semifinal, while Real Madrid meets Atlético Madrid in the other. 🏆
Additionally, Spanish Football Federation has handed Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin a one-match suspension following the recent El Clásico against Barcelona, after he clashed with Lamine Yamal and received a red card post-match.
The match also saw tensions involving Vinícius Júnior, Thibaut Courtois, and Dani Carvajal, following pre-match comments from Yamal accusing Real Madrid of unfair play, which fueled post-match confrontations 🔴⚪.
