In a new move that reflects Qatar SC’s desire to strengthen its squad ahead of the upcoming football season, the club has announced a preliminary agreement with Al Ahly regarding the transfer of talented Moroccan winger Reda Slim during the current summer transfer window—a deal that carries high expectations and ambitions for both parties.

This agreement comes after Slim’s prolonged absence from Al Ahly’s lineup, as he suffered a knee injury during the second half of last season, which prematurely ended his campaign. As a result, the coaching staff had excluded him from their plans since January, pending his full recovery and return to the pitch.

According to media reports, serious negotiations are expected to escalate in the coming days, especially as Qatar SC is keen on signing experienced and technically skilled players to enhance the team’s competitiveness in upcoming tournaments.

Al Ahly currently has five foreign players on its roster: Achraf Dari, Aliou Dieng, Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, Achraf Bencharki, and Neitz Gredisar, reflecting the club’s strategy of building a balanced squad that combines local and international expertise.

Reda Slim joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2023 from Morocco’s FAR Rabat, signing a contract that runs until the summer of 2027, with an annual salary of approximately \$900,000. The deal was widely regarded as a smart move by Al Ahly to bolster its lineup with a fast, skillful player.

During his time with the club, Slim featured in 44 official matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists. His ability to break through defenses and deliver decisive passes established him as a key asset in the team’s setup.
