Sources close to Al-Qadsia club revealed that the management, in coordination with head coach Nabil Maaloul, is officially studying the termination of Egyptian forward Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba”’s contract in the upcoming winter transfer window. ⚡
According to Kuwait’s Al-Jarida newspaper, the decision comes after a comprehensive evaluation of Kahraba’s performance since the season began. The player had a strong start in the Zain Premier League, scoring two goals in the first two rounds, raising expectations among fans and management.
However, his performance noticeably declined afterward, coupled with difficulty integrating with teammates, which negatively affected the team’s collective performance and attacking line, as his individual skills did not translate into effective team play in subsequent matches.
Kahraba scored in the first round against a strong opponent and added a second goal in round two, but he has not scored since round three, and his accurate passes inside the penalty area have decreased.
Al-Qadsia signed Kahraba on the recommendation of coach Nabil Maaloul, trusting his experience with Egyptian clubs Al Ahly and Zamalek, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad, and Libya’s Al-Ittihad, aiming to strengthen the team’s attack.
The potential contract termination reflects Al-Qadsia’s plan to restore discipline, cohesive team performance, and ensure strong competition in the Zain Premier League this season.
