Reports: Fiston Mayele Rejects Al Ahly’s Lucrative Offer and Nears Pyramids Exit
African reports revealed that Congolese striker Fiston Mayele has rejected a tempting offer from Al Ahly, with indications that he is close to leaving Pyramids FC during the upcoming transfer window.
🔥 According to African media sources, Congolese star Fiston Mayele, the striker of Pyramids FC, has turned down a formal offer from Egyptian giants Al Ahly to join them in the next transfer window. The player has also refused to renew his current contract with Pyramids, fueling speculation about his imminent departure.
As reported by Africa Foot on Sunday, Al Ahly took advantage of stalled renewal talks between Mayele and Pyramids to present an official three-year offer worth $3 million per season hoping to convince the CAF Champions League top scorer to wear the famous red shirt.
However, the report stated that Mayele rejected Al Ahly’s proposal, demanding $4 million per season for two years, along with a $1 million signing bonus terms that Al Ahly’s management deemed excessive.
⚽ The same report added that the Congolese forward received a lucrative offer from a Saudi club, worth around $7 million per season, making a move to the Saudi Pro League the most likely scenario for Mayele, who is reportedly keen on pursuing a new experience with a higher financial return.
Mayele enjoyed a remarkable season with Pyramids, finishing as the top scorer of the 2024–2025 CAF Champions League with six goals. He played a vital role in helping his team claim their first-ever continental title after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns in the final. The striker also led Pyramids to win the CAF Super Cup against RS Berkane and a memorable victory over Al Ahli Jeddah in the Intercontinental Cup.
🏆 With his outstanding performances and impressive stats, Fiston Mayele has established himself as one of Africa’s most lethal strikers. His potential departure would be a major blow for Pyramids FC ahead of their upcoming domestic and continental campaigns.
