The media presenter Amir Hesham confirmed that coach José Ribeiro is taking a firm stance regarding the team’s transfer deals during the current summer window. He has completely rejected the idea of signing player Ahmed Eid from Al-Masry club, despite the original club’s approval of his departure. Ribeiro prefers to keep Omar Kamal Abdelwahed in the right-back position for the upcoming season.

Hesham explained that this decision aligns with the coach’s clear technical vision, as he seeks to maintain the team’s stability and avoid making changes that could disrupt player harmony, especially in the defensive line, which is considered fundamental for building a cohesive and strong team.

Regarding the deal for Ahmed Hani, the right-back from Ceramica Cleopatra, there is hesitation and caution in making a final decision. Hesham indicated that there are technical reservations about the player’s abilities and how well he fits into Al Ahly’s playing style. Thus, the transfer remains undecided and is still under further study and consultations between the technical staff and the club’s management.
Hesham pointed out that Al Ahly’s management always prioritizes the team’s long-term interests, carefully evaluating each potential deal with focus on the technical and physical aspects, as well as the psychological ability of the player to adapt to the club’s environment and playing style.

The presenter emphasized that Ribeiro places great importance on selecting players who possess team spirit and tactical discipline. He is keen on building a strong squad capable of competing in all tournaments, which explains his refusal to succumb to market pressures or some parties’ desires to finalize deals that may not serve the team’s goals.

Hesham added that balancing experience and youth in Al Ahly’s squad is a priority for the coach, which explains the insistence on retaining some current players despite offers to sign them. There is also caution in recruiting new players until their technical compatibility and alignment with the club’s future ambitions are confirmed.
