Moroccan club RS Berkane has officially appealed the sanctions imposed by the African Football Confederation after their match against Al Ahly, emphasizing their right to defend their interests.
RS Berkane has submitted an official appeal against the sanctions imposed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following the match against Al Ahly on November 28, 2025, in African competitions ⚽🇲🇦
The club stated that the appeal aims to defend its legitimate rights and interests, while adhering to the legal procedures within CAF, expressing confidence in the fairness of the relevant authorities and the legality of their position ⚖️🔥
CAF had imposed sanctions including playing two home matches behind closed doors and a fine of $100,000. Additionally, the suspension of a one-match closed-door penalty from April 17, 2025, was lifted and the sanction became effective starting from the club’s next home match in CAF competitions 💰🚫
As a result, RS Berkane will play three matches without fans, pending the outcome of the appeal, as the club seeks to protect its rights and interests in continental competitions 🌍⚔️
