Egyptian international Sam Morsy, midfielder for English side Ipswich Town, is close to wearing the Zamalek jersey in the upcoming transfer window, following a near-final agreement brokered by Ahmed Hossam "Mido," a member of the club’s planning committee. The deal is aimed at strengthening Zamalek's midfield for the new season.

Mido has placed Sam Morsy as his top choice to reinforce the midfield due to the player's extensive experience in European football, as well as his Egyptian nationality, which offers Zamalek a valuable opportunity without occupying a foreign player slot.

A well-informed source confirmed that Mido has nearly finalized all aspects of the contract, including financial terms and duration. The player has reportedly shown great enthusiasm for joining the White Knights, affirming his and his family’s loyalty to Zamalek.

The deal is now closer than ever, especially after Ipswich Town's relegation from the English Championship, which has made negotiations over the financial terms easier. Mido is aiming to complete the transfer for no more than $500,000, despite the player’s market value being around $900,000. Morsy's current contract runs until the end of next season.
