Surprise Move: Al Ahly Releases El Badry, Petrojet Snaps Him Up!
Al Ahly terminates Mostafa El Badry’s contract; player joins Petrojet.
Al Ahly Terminates Contract with Mostafa El Badry by Mutual Consent – Player Joins Petrojet
Just hours before the closure of the summer transfer window, Al Ahly has officially terminated its contract with Mostafa El Badry by mutual agreement, effectively resolving the player’s future after his return from loan.
Free Transfer to Petrojet
Shortly after terminating his contract, El Badry signed a two-year deal with Petrojet on a free transfer. The signing took place in the presence of his agent, Ayman Galal, as the player begins a new chapter in search of regular playing time and a fresh start.
A Necessary Move Before Deadline
Al Ahly management was keen to finalize El Badry’s situation before the window closed. Keeping him on the club’s secondary list would have obligated the club to pay his full contract value, despite him being out of the team’s plans. Therefore, both sides agreed to part ways to avoid any financial burden.
No First-Team Appearances for Al Ahly
El Badry originally joined Al Ahly from El Entag El Harby a few seasons ago but failed to make a single first-team appearance. He spent most of his time out on loan, most recently at Smouha, before returning to the club this summer and ultimately departing on a free transfer.
Al Ahly's League Opener
Meanwhile, Al Ahly is preparing to kick off its Egyptian Premier League campaign with a match against Modern Sport, scheduled for 9 PM next Saturday at Cairo International Stadium.
In the second round, Al Ahly will face Pharco, also at Cairo Stadium. The opening 10 rounds of the season feature several high-profile clashes, including a meeting with Pyramids FC in round five and the long-awaited Cairo derby against Zamalek in round nine.
A Busy Transfer Window for the Red Devils
Al Ahly was active in the transfer market this summer, making a number of notable signings to strengthen the squad, including:
Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane (Tunisia)
Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” (return from Turkish league)
Aliou Dieng (Mali)
Ahmed Mostafa Zizo
Mohamed Siha (goalkeeper from Al Mokawloon)
Ahmed Ramadan Beckham (defender from Ceramica Cleopatra)
Mostafa El-Ash (permanent move from ZED after loan)
Mohamed Shoukry (from Ceramica)
Yassin Marai (from Pharco)
Mohamed Sherif (free transfer)
14 Players Depart Al Ahly
Al Ahly also witnessed the departure of 14 players this summer through transfers and loans. Key departures include:
Ali Maaloul
Amr El-Sulaya
Akram Tawfik
Rami Rabia
Wisam Abu Ali
Yehia Attia Allah
Mostafa El Badry

Karim Nedved
While the following were sent out on loan: Karim El Debes, Omar El Sa’i, Samir Mohamed, Reda Slim, and Hamza Alaa
