📢 Shobeir warns Zamalek about the lengthy camp
Media personality Ahmed Shobeir has issued a warning to Zamalek's coaching staff over the length of the team's closed training camp ahead of their upcoming Egyptian Premier League derby against Al Ahly.
Shobeir pointed out that Zamalek began their camp relatively early, leaving several days between the team's arrival at the camp and the scheduled date of the match.
According to Shobeir, the extended camp could help increase concentration and preparation for such an important fixture, but it could also have a negative psychological effect on the players if it is not managed properly.
⚠️ A double-edged sword ahead of Al Ahly
During his program "Ma'a Shobeir," the former goalkeeper explained that keeping Zamalek players in a closed camp for an extended period could eventually lead to boredom and additional pressure.
Shobeir stressed that remaining in camp from an early stage until Sunday's match represents a considerable amount of time, describing the decision as a double-edged sword.
He added that Zamalek's coaching staff will need to maintain the players' concentration and physical and mental condition while also making the most of the preparation period without allowing motivation levels to drop before kickoff.
Question: Why could a long training camp become a problem for Zamalek?
Answer: Spending too much time inside a closed camp could lead to boredom or mental fatigue among the players, making it more difficult for the coaching staff to maintain concentration and motivation until the derby begins.
