Sports journalist Ahmed Shobier announced that, for the first time in history, a fully Egyptian referee team will officiate in the 2026 World Cup 🌍, consisting of Amin Omar, Mahmoud Abu El-Regal, Ahmed Hossam Taha, and Mahmoud Ashour 🏟️.
Shobier wrote on Facebook: "Good luck to all Egyptian referees in the tournament."
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Football Association announced the release of a limited number of tickets for Egypt’s matches in the tournament, exclusively for Egyptian fans 🎫.
Ticket rules include a maximum of four tickets per person per match, first-come-first-served allocation, non-refundable tickets, and priority for holders of a U.S. visa 🇺🇸.
