On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the sister of Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib, Chairman of Al Ahly Club, passed away after a battle with illness. The club’s management and all its sports and administrative sectors expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy to Captain El-Khatib for this painful loss, offering their full support to him during these difficult times.
The deceased had been suffering from a serious illness and spent some time in the general hospital in Qena before going to her daughter’s home, where she passed away. Immediately, Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib traveled to his hometown to participate in the funeral and burial ceremonies, attended by close family members and friends of the deceased.
It is worth noting that this loss comes after the passing of two other sisters of Captain El-Khatib, one in September 2022 and the other in 2016, which adds to the weight of grief on him and his family.
