According to Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," Al-Nassr's management intends to make significant changes to the team, aiming to sign a younger midfielder with stronger defensive and physical abilities than Brozović, who will turn 33 in the next season. This move aligns with the club's goal to enhance the team's physical strength for better performance in the upcoming season.
Since joining Al-Nassr in the summer of 2023, Brozović has played 70 official matches for the team, scoring 6 goals and providing 15 assists across various domestic and international competitions. Despite his impressive performances, the Croatian player is now nearing the end of his time with the club, especially considering the changes the Saudi club aims to make in the midfield.
It is worth mentioning that Brozović announced his retirement from international football with Croatia in August 2024 after a distinguished career, having played 99 international matches. He was a key player in the "Golden Generation" that reached the 2018 World Cup final and finished third in the 2022 edition.
Additionally, Al-Nassr is looking to sign a foreign left-back to strengthen this position, with Spanish sporting director Fernando Hierro holding meetings with several player agents in preparation for negotiations in the coming days.
