The technical staff of Egypt’s U-17 national football team, led by head coach Ahmed El-Kass and assistant coach Mohamed Ibrahim, is preparing to travel within the next few hours to Côte d'Ivoire to take part in a specialized workshop organized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). The workshop will be attended by head coaches of teams qualified for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Egypt’s participation in this workshop comes as part of its serious preparations for the World Cup. The event aims to enhance the technical and organizational aspects of the tournament while providing an opportunity for knowledge exchange among coaching staff, and discussing the latest developments in tactics, training programs, and the new FIFA regulations for the upcoming global competition.
Ahmed El-Kass is expected to return to Cairo immediately after the workshop concludes to begin the domestic preparation phase. An initial agreement has been made for the team’s first training camp to kick off in early July. The final dates for the camp will be announced after full coordination with the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).
Meanwhile, the EFA continues its efforts to organize a series of strong international friendly matches against teams from various football schools to provide players with new experiences and to enhance their technical and physical readiness ahead of the highly anticipated U-17 World Cup, which is set to take place in Qatar from November 3 to 27, 2025.
The tournament draw placed Egypt in Group C alongside England, Venezuela, and Haiti — a group characterized by strength and diversity in playing styles. This puts additional responsibility on the technical staff to create a special and comprehensive preparation program to ensure the players are fully ready to compete at the highest level.
The coaching staff is also closely monitoring a wide pool of promising players to select the final squad that will represent Egypt on the global stage. The team is committed to implementing the latest training methodologies in line with international standards emphasized by FIFA during the technical workshop.
