Torup aims for his fourth win with Al Ahly after the team secured three victories and one draw, scoring 5 goals and conceding 2 since he took over from interim coach Emad El Nahhas.
Al Ahly opened the season with a 2-2 draw against Modern Sport, followed by a 4-1 win over Pharco, a 2-0 loss to Pyramids, a 1-1 draw with ENPPI, then a series of consecutive wins against Ceramica 1-0, Haras El Hodoud 3-2, Zamalek 2-1, Kahraba Ismailia 4-2, and Al Ittihad 2-1, before drawing 1-1 with Petrojet, dropping two points in the title race ⚪🔴.
The draw with Petrojet was Torup’s first stumble as Al Ahly’s coach, after three consecutive victories in the last five matches. The Danish coach hopes to return to winning ways tonight to maintain the club’s push at the top of the league.
