The Egyptian rowing team continued its dominance at the third African Beach Rowing Championship in South Africa, winning two more gold medals along with several others across different categories.
Egypt’s national rowing team shined once again at the 3rd African Beach Rowing Championship held in South Africa, securing two additional gold medals and cementing their place among the continent’s elite 🇪🇬🏅.
The duo Ziad Farag and Ibrahim Abdel Latif claimed gold in the Junior Double Sculls after an outstanding performance.
Meanwhile, Ali Hassan and Omar Moussa won another gold in the Men’s Double Sculls with a time of 2:48 minutes, showcasing Egypt’s strength in the event.
In the women’s competition, Maryam Abdel Latif and Salma Safwan earned the bronze medal in the Women’s Double Sculls with a time of 3:10 minutes, defeating Morocco for the podium spot.
The mixed duo Yassin El-Qamati and Maryam Awadallah also captured gold in the Mixed Junior Double Sculls, defeating Tunisia with a winning time of 2:41 minutes, six seconds ahead of the runners-up.
In the Men’s U23 Double Sculls, Omar El-Qamati and Ziad Morsi won silver, despite facing an early boat issue, while Tunisia took first place.
Finally, Rimas Ahmed and Salma Safwan secured gold in the Women’s U23 Double Sculls with a time of 2:56 minutes, finishing 13 seconds ahead of Tunisia.
