Under the Ministry of Sports’ Sponsorship.. Zayed Youth Development Center Hosts Recreational Games Festival 🎯🏆
The Zayed Youth Development Center hosted a major recreational games festival in cooperation with the Egyptian Recreational Games Federation and under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with around 3,000 male and female players taking part in an event that attracted significant public interest.
The festival was organized as part of the center’s efforts to provide diverse activities for young people and expand participation in sports and recreational activities through cooperation with different sports federations.
Four Games Featured at the Zayed Festival 🎮
The festival included competitions in four recreational games: table games, dominoes, foot volley and korfball, with participation from players representing different age groups.
The organizers allocated EGP 20,000 in financial prizes for the top finishers, encouraging participants to compete and continue taking part in recreational sporting activities.
The event was also part of the center’s efforts to host large-scale activities capable of attracting young people and providing an appropriate environment for competition, entertainment and social interaction.
Ministry and Federation Officials Attend
The festival was attended by Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, General Supervisor of the Central Administration for Youth Development, and Bilal Nazir, Chairman of the Zayed Youth Development Center, along with Ahmed El-Bakry, President of the Egyptian Recreational Games Federation, and Ibrahim Madkour, the federation’s general coordinator.
Mohamed Youssef, the center’s treasurer, as well as a number of officials from the center and federation, also attended alongside the participating players and festival guests.
Mahmoud Abdel Aziz: 3,000 Participants Highlight the Role of Youth Development Centers
Mahmoud Abdel Aziz said hosting a festival featuring around 3,000 male and female participants highlights the growing role of youth development centers in organizing major events and offering diverse and attractive activities for young people.
He stressed the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ support for such initiatives, which provide young people with greater opportunities to participate in sports and discover their talents.
He added that the ministry’s approach focuses on maximizing the use of youth and youth development centers while providing programs that respond to the needs and interests of young people.
Bilal Nazir: Festival Provides Momentum for Future Events
Bilal Nazir, Chairman of the Zayed Youth Development Center, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the festival and the large number of participants.
He said the participation of around 3,000 players provides strong momentum for the center to continue hosting and organizing more major recreational and sporting events in the future.
He explained that serving young people and providing a suitable sporting and recreational environment are among the center’s priorities, noting that cooperation with the Egyptian Recreational Games Federation is part of its plan to diversify activities and give more young people opportunities to participate.

Ahmed El-Bakry, President of the Egyptian Recreational Games Federation, said the partnership with the Zayed Youth Development Center represents a strong example of cooperation between sports federations and youth development centers.
He noted that the large turnout at the festival reflects the growing popularity of recreational games and stressed the federation’s commitment to expanding the participation base and bringing these activities to more young people.
More Events Planned in the Future
Ibrahim Madkour, the general coordinator of the Egyptian Recreational Games Federation, said the strong public turnout demonstrated the ability of youth development centers to host major events bringing together thousands of participants in an atmosphere combining competition and entertainment.
He explained that the Zayed Youth Development Center was selected to host the festival because of its facilities and organizational capabilities, which support the implementation of large-scale events.
He added that the federation will continue working with the center in the coming period to organize more activities aimed at promoting recreational games and expanding their participation base.
Festival Ends With Awards Ceremony 🏆
The festival concluded with a ceremony honoring the winners and distributing the financial prizes allocated for the top positions, amid widespread praise for the organization and the large turnout.
The event provided an example of how sports and entertainment can come together to attract large numbers of young people, while the Zayed Youth Development Center continues to host activities designed to expand participation and encourage young people to practice different recreational games.
